Douglass
H. Schmor
Doug Schmor
joined the firm in 1976
and currently serves as managing partner
of the firm of Brophy, Mills, Schmor, Gerking Brophy & Paradis, LLP. He specializes in business formation, business law,
estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, non-profit organizations
and cooperatives.
Doug was born
in Klamath Falls, Oregon, attended high school in St. Helens, Oregon,
earned his undergraduate degree from Willamette University and his
law degree from Harvard Law School. He has served as chair of the
Business Law Section of the Oregon State Bar, as a member of the
task force
that rewrote Oregon's Corporation Act, and chaired the committee
responsible for drafting legislation which permitted the merger
and conversion of Oregon's various business entities.
Active in the
Medford community, he has served as an elder of Westminster Presbyterian
Church, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Medford/Jackson
County, President of the Crater
Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and as President of
the Rogue Valley Chapter of the Oregon Hunters Association.
In his spare
time, Doug enjoys fly fishing, hunting, gardening, camping and reading.
He and his wife, Sandy, a preschool teacher, have three adult children.
